Volunteer, Donate, Adopt
Help your Local Horse Rescue
Your local horse rescue can use your help. This is often a good project for 4-H and Youth Groups. You can volunteer your time helping at the farms, fostering a horse, collecting much needed items (feed, hay, halters etc.) for their wish lists, provide monetary donations or even sponsor a rescued horse.
Horse rescues often have arrangements with stores such as Horse Saddle Shop, Amazon, Country Supply, Back in the Saddle and more. Simply purchasing items for yourself and mentioning their code results in a donation. Check their sites to see how your routine purchases can help.
Most of all if you are looking for a horse to love, check out the horses available for adoption.
Contact your local rescue and see how you can help.
Horses are being surrendered this winter at an alarming rate. The number of abused and neglected horses is at an all time high in the United States.
